Hang Ten Systems, an AI startup founded in May 2026 by former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, has successfully raised an additional $53 million in seed funding. This major boost comes just five weeks after the company secured an initial $32 million, bringing its total funding to $85 million within 4 months of its launch.
Xora led the latest round of an early-stage investment platform backed by Temasek in which Mayfield, Aramco Ventures, and prominent technology executives like Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, who have joined the company’s board, participated. Unlike major AI creators like OpenAI or Anthropic, Hang Ten Systems does not develop foundational AI models. Rather, it provides independent strategic and implementation partners to large businesses that want to embrace artificial intelligence in large-scale engineering initiatives.
Sikka believes that AI is completely changing software development by dropping the time and cost of writing code close to zero, allowing developers to focus on explaining what software needs to do and checking its quality. The startup uses a unique in-house framework called Hobie, which combines reusable AI skills for complex software projects. According to the company, small teams of just 2 to 4 people can now manage massive projects that used to require around 30 people.
Hang Ten aims to deliver a 10-fold improvement in cost, speed, or both for its clients. The organisation’s concept has already gained significant traction, as it secured a multimillion-dollar contract with a client within the first 25 days of meeting. Now, the newly acquired funding will expand the company’s engineering, consulting and sales workforce, develop new tools, and enter the Singapore and Southeast Asia markets.
