CoreWeave, a company that provides AI cloud computing services, announced on Tuesday that it is expanding its business to Indonesia. The company will build three new data centres in the country. This is CoreWeave’s first data centre project in the Asia-Pacific region. The three new data centres will have a total power capacity of 360 megawatts.
CoreWeave will own and manage all of these facilities. The company said that many businesses, AI startups, and governments in Asia want AI computing services that are located closer to their users and data. This helps improve speed and also meets local data storage rules.
As part of its expansion, CoreWeave will hire and train local employees to run the new data centres. The company said this will also support Indonesia’s goal of growing its AI industry. By the end of March, CoreWeave was operating 49 data centres around the world. The new facilities in Indonesia will further increase its global presence.
Earlier this year, in May, CoreWeave raised the lower end of its 2026 spending forecast because memory chip prices have gone up due to supply shortages. The company now expects to spend between $31 billion and $35 billion this year.

CoreWeave has also signed several major cloud computing deals in 2026. These include an expanded $21 billion agreement with Meta and a multi-year partnership with AI company Anthropic, the creator of Claude.
