California-based tech giant Apple is ready to transition into Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) displays by 2025. It marked a significant shift from using its reliance on liquid crystal displays (LCDs). The latest report shows Apple is poised to transition fully by introducing liquid crystal display LCDs. 

With this complete migration, Apple got a complete migration from OLED screen for notable implications from current suppliers. Notably, Japanese firms known as Sharp Corp and Japan Display are key providers of Apple’s devices LCD screens.

According to the latest reports, these companies will no longer play a major role in producing displays for Apple’s iPhone as they are no longer engaged in the mass production of OLED smartphone screens.

Apple has reportedly started placing orders for OLED panels for its forthcoming iPhone SE Models; these orders have been placed with China’s BOE (Beijing Oriental Electronics) Technology. This has also signalled for the broader diversification of its supplier base and with the display technology. This will transform into a major shift in semiconductor manufacturing.
