The Pentagon, the headquarters of the United States Department of Defense (DoD), is all set to establish military repair hubs across the Asia-Pacific region of Japan, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, and the Philippines. It is set under the project name Regional Sustainment Framework (RSF) to extend the global network of repair facilities, including Ships, US Planes, vehicles, and other warfighting equipment.
The main idea is to set the equipment repair and maintenance centres closer to the deployment area rather than returning it to the US. Here, the Pentagon is all set to launch pilot programs for the Asia Pacific region to establish similar hubs in Europe and Latin America. The focus is on setting up a military base in the Asia Pacific and preparing for a future war with China. US military officials are openly discussing a future direct conflict with the Chinese military despite the risk of turning into nuclear war.
In July, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr. asked whether the US could beat China in a war over Taiwan. He shared, “Yes, I’m fully confident in our force. We are the most lethal, most respected combat force in the world.”
He acknowledged that war would be the largest conflict since World War II is preparing for stockpiling weapons, ammunition, and other types of supplies. This will be the major conflict that we earlier saw in the war before.
