The Healthcare AI startup CARPL.ai secured $10 million in a Series A round. The funding was led by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) with participation from the existing investor, Stellaris Venture Partners and others. The funds will be used for the development of their products, partnerships and expansion of their business in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and other developing regions.

Founded in 2021, CARPL.ai says it runs the world’s largest marketplace for AI tools in radiology. Its platform gives hospitals and healthcare providers access to more than 300 tools from over 100 partners through one system. This helps them easily build, test, use, and monitor AI tools. CARPL.ai said its platform is already used by four of the world’s top five private radiology groups and by governments in countries such as India, Brazil, Singapore, Spain, and the UAE. The company also plans to expand its AI services into pathology, genomics, and generic medicine.

CEO and founder Vidur Mahajan said the company’s goal is to help doctors use the best AI tools with confidence. He added that CARPL.ai has built a large AI marketplace by working closely with leading healthcare technology providers. According to the company, medical imaging accounts for more than 80% of healthcare data, yet AI adoption has been slow despite the availability of over 1,000 FDA-approved AI applications. IFC said CARPL.ai’s platform can help healthcare providers adopt AI more easily, improve diagnosis, and increase access to quality healthcare.
