Recently, the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of the United Arab Emirates or UAE conducted an Air services meeting to take on the consultation with the Civil Aviation Authority of China (CAAC) in Beijing. 

The main agenda behind the meeting was to improve bilateral air relationships between the two nations and boost air transport. Both parties agreed upon expanding agreements on terms to expand cooperation that favour national development and air connectivity. Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of the GCAA, led the UAE delegation. He highlighted the authority’s dedication to bolstering the UAE’s international presence and unlocking new initiatives for air connectivity. 

The first Air Connectivity forum between the two countries was held on 15 July 2024, which helped achieve positive outcomes in negotiations. Consistent forum meetings will contribute to strengthening economic and trade relations between nations. Additionally, this UAE-China MoU is a contract signed between the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and Global Air Navigation Services (GANS) for training services for  Air Traffic Controllers. Both nations will ride the ladder of growth and development for the aviation industry that extends strategic partnerships focusing on frameworks for further expansion. 

Yahya Al Hammadi, CEO of GANS, said, “We look forward to delivering this training contract in accordance with GCAA requirements and working together to improve the global Aviation industry through our many collaboration initiatives. I believe the partnership with GCAA will create a new and effective model of collaboration in our industry.”
