SpaceX is expected to launch the Starlink Satellite internet services in Vietnam by the end of this financial year. The Deputy Minister, Pham Duc Long, said that the Ministry of Science and Technology aims to license the service only using low-orbit satellites currently. This will happen as soon as Starlink sets up a legal entity in the country.
According to reports, the company is establishing a wholly-owned unit in Vietnam, with which it is in constant contact with the country’s finance ministry to complete the necessary procedures.
According to Reuters, SpaceX had sent some engineers in April who were reading a ground station in the Southeast Asian country for the planned launch of the service. These ground stations will be used to communicate with the satellites and will provide a steadier connection in the region.

The government of Vietnam has already stated that the country is giving this chance to Starlink on a trial basis. The trial period of Starlink is expected to last until 2030, during which the government will monitor various aspects of the technology and its impact on connectivity and high-speed internet dispersion.
