Eunice Huang, Head of AI and Emerging Tech Policy for Google APAC, stated on Wednesday that Google’s AI investments mainly concentrate on technical infrastructure.

“As our CEO mentioned, in these early stages of a highly transformative technology, the risks associated with underinvestment are significantly greater than those of overinvestment,” Huang explained during a panel at the Reuters NEXT Asia summit in Singapore. 

In April, Alphabet, Google‘s parent company, reaffirmed its commitment to invest around $75 billion this year to expand data center capacity, despite uncertainties caused by U.S. tariffs.

The company also sought to reassure investors that its AI endeavors were delivering positive results.
