South Korean tech giant Samsung is grappling with the sudden loss of its CEO, Han Jong-hee, who passed away at the age of 60 due to cardiac arrest. Han, who had been a pivotal figure in the company’s leadership team, died unexpectedly, leaving a void in Samsung that will be deeply felt across the tech industry.

Han joined Samsung in the early 1990s and quickly rose, earning recognition for strategic acumen and leadership. His extensive career spanned over three decades, during which he played a crucial role in shaping the company’s growth and expansion. In 2021, Han was appointed as co-chief executive officer, and he worked alongside his fellow executives to steer Samsung’s diverse business, including semiconductors, mobiles, and displays.

One of his key efforts is the integration of AI into Samsung’s range of Galaxy devices in anticipation of a boom in the features of artificial intelligence used in everyday life.

Han’s death marks the end of the era for Samsung, but his legacy of innovative leadership and vision will continue to shape the company for years to come. His passing is a great loss to the global tech industry, and all will remember his contribution.
