Merging Innovation with Purpose in FinTech
CTO
Vircle
Purpose, in the FinTech industry, is often overshadowed by the pursuit of efficiency and revenue. But for Udit Jain, CTO of Vircle, purpose drives innovation. With a track record of leading multiple FinTech ventures, he found something unique in Vircle—a mission to create a safer, cashless financial ecosystem for children. Unlike traditional platforms designed for adults, Vircle focuses on trust, security, and financial education, empowering young users while ensuring compliance and ease of use. Udit faced the complex challenge of balancing cybersecurity, regulatory requirements, and child-friendly design. Unlike standard FinTech solutions, Vircle required rethinking authentication mechanisms, parental controls, and realtime spending insights to create a secure yet intuitive platform. Scaling the system while keeping costs under control was another hurdle. By leveraging AWS and optimising cloud expenses, he ensured seamless growth without compromising performance. Additionally, integrating with schools required navigating multi-stakeholder negotiations. For Udit, Vircle represents more than just technology; it’s about shaping responsible financial habits from an early age. His ability to merge innovation with impact sets him apart, proving that FinTech can go beyond transactions to create meaningful change for future generations. Speaking with TradeFlock, he discusses more about his journey and work.
Technology is more than just innovation. It’s about solving real problems with clarity, empowerment, and impact. In my two decades of experience across strategy, architecture, and engineering, I’ve learned that the best technology serves a clear purpose and aligns seamlessly with business goals. That’s why I prioritise clarity in vision and execution, ensuring teams understand not just what we’re building, but why it matters. A well-defined roadmap and outcome-driven approach keep us focused on delivering real value. Great leadership isn’t about micromanaging— it’s about empowering people to excel. I believe in fostering ownership, removing roadblocks, and creating an environment where engineers and architects can innovate with confidence. A CTO’s role is to build high-performing teams, not just great products. Most importantly, every decision must drive measurable impact. Whether it’s scaling platforms, optimising cloud costs, or ensuring compliance, I focus on practical, sustainable solutions. At Vircle, this philosophy translates into building a secure, scalable platform that reshapes how children interact with money— responsibly, safely, and independently.
FinTech, SaaS, and cloud computing move fast, there’s always more to do than time allows. What keeps me sharp is relentless prioritisation, focusing on high-impact tasks while cutting out distractions. Every day, I ask: What creates the most value? What can be automated or delegated? What’s just noise disguised as urgency? This habit isn’t just for work. As a CTO, entrepreneur, and father, I ensure my time goes where it truly matters, scaling Vircle’s tech, mentoring my teams, and being present for my family. Efficiency is about doing what matters most.
Success isn’t measured by titles or revenue. It’s about the impact I create, the growth I achieve, and the balance I maintain. True success is leaving a lasting impact. At Vircle, it’s about building a secure financial ecosystem for kids and shaping responsible financial habits. Growth matters, too, if I’m evolving as a leader and technologist, I’m succeeding. But achievements mean little without balance. Success is also being present for my family, prioritising well-being, and integrating passion into life.At its core, success is about impact, adaptability, and meaningful contributions.
Across every team I’ve built, spanning diverse organisations, cultures, and geographies, the one trait I never compromise on is an ownership mentality. Technical skills can be learned, but accountability, initiative, and a problem-solving mindset must come from within. I seek individuals who take full ownership of their work, think beyond their immediate tasks, and proactively drive solutions. A true owner never says, “That’s not my problem”— they ask, “How can I help?” They care about impact, not just execution. At Vircle, where we’re building a secure financial ecosystem for kids, this mindset ensures we create lasting, meaningful change.
When I’m not building scalable tech or leading teams, my world revolves around family, fitness, and exploring ancient wisdom. Spending quality time with my daughters—helping them explore ideas or simply playing without screens— is my greatest joy. Fitness is another priority; evening workouts help me de-stress and reset after a day of decisionmaking. A lesser-known passion is Feng Shui and Numerology—I find the intersection of energy, numbers, and spatial arrangements fascinating. For me, balance isn’t about separating work and life—it’s about integrating passion, purpose, and personal growth into everything I do.
