NVIDIA, one of the world’s highest valued companies, has joined hands with Foxconn to construct the world’s largest Nvidia GB200 chip manufacturing facility to meet the growing demand for the Blackwell platform.

Foxconn is widely known for its partnership with Apple in assembling its flagship product, the iPhone. The Taiwnese-based company has recently expanded its operations in India to shift the assembly of iPhones in the country. Foxconn has greatly benefited from the AI boom and is also known for making servers.

Foxconn and NVIDIA’s Strategic Partnership

Benjamin Ting, the senior vice president of the Taiwan-based company Foxconn, mentioned that a partnership between the two giants is vital for both companies’ growth. He further mentioned, “We’re building the largest GB200 production facility on the planet – I don’t think I can say where now” at the annual tech day in Taipei.

Moreover, standing alongside the vice president of NVIDIA’s AI and robotics, Deepu Talla, he stated that most people are placing orders for Nvidia’s Blackwell platform because of which company is  facing “awfully huge demand.” This clearly indicates the growing demand for AI and robotics and the steps Nividia is taking to tackle the supply chain challenges.

NVIDIA has long planned a strategic alliance with Foxconn to tackle its supply chain issues and meet the growing demand. According to Reuters, CEO Jensen Huang of NVIDIA visited Foxconn’s tech day last year, which, for some years, he could not visit.
