Elie Luskin’s journey to becoming the vice president for India and China at Mobileye is a story of discipline, resilience, continuous learning, and leadership. His national and public service background laid the foundation for his leadership philosophy—emphasising teamwork, meticulous execution, and the power of persistence. The intense training and camaraderie he experienced in these arenas shaped his approach to challenges and opportunities, providing him with the skills needed to navigate dynamic and highpressure environments. In his quest for a broader societal impact, Elie became the CEO of a nonprofit organisation that mobilised thousands of volunteers to support communities in crisis. This experience refined his organisational and crisis management skills while also solidifying the importance of building efficient infrastructure, sustainable partnerships, and teams united by a common vision. Driven by a desire to expand his horizons and foster change, Elie made the bold decision to relocate to China, where he could effectively apply his academic background in Asian Studies and Economics, as well as his language competence in Chinese Mandarin. He joined Mobileye, fulfilling a key role in expanding the company’s presence in China. Under his leadership, Mobileye transformed into a market leader, growing its business multifold and shaping key technological innovations. Elie’s leadership continues to have a significant impact as he now oversees Mobileye’s operations in both India and China—two of the largest automotive markets in the world. From an early age, I was inspired by stories of leadership and perseverance, which became a core part of my approach to challenges. My service in the public sector further solidified these values, as I learnt the importance of resilience, discipline, and teamwork— qualities that continue to guide my leadership style today.
To further my vision, I became the CEO of a nonprofit organisation, mobilising thousands of volunteers in crisis situations. This experience deepened my skills in building operations from the ground up, management abilities, and my capacity for perseverance. During this time, I also met my wife, whose support has been a cornerstone of my growth, enabling both personal fulfillment and professional achievements. Eager to extend my knowledge, I pursued Asian Studies and Economics and started learning Chinese Mandarin. I then moved to China with my wife and our young child, recognising the immense growth potential there. Joining Mobileye was a natural fit, fueled by my passion for addressing global challenges—developing transformative solutions that shape a safer, better future through cutting-edge technologies. I helped lead Mobileye’s expansion in China, growing revenue and establishing a market-leading presence with three offices and a team of over 200 employees. I feel fortunate to work in an organisation led by Professor Amnon Shashua, in my opinion, one of the most impressive and impactful entrepreneurs in Israel’s history. Later, I expanded my role to India, which presents similar opportunities to China’s automotive boom. Leading operations in both India and China gives me a unique vantage point to drive growth across two of the world’s most significant economies. The challenges are many, but I’m excited to lead our teams in shaping the future of mobility in these dynamic regions.
Navigating high-stakes deals requires acting as a bridge between value-driven parties with distinct priorities. My role is to ensure both sides understand each other’s interests, boundaries, and potential compromises, with a sharp focus on shared goals. Some of my most rewarding experiences include billion-dollar agreements where clarity, trust, and vision were essential. I strive to create a safe, transparent, and constructive environment for dialogue, enabling open discussions that address concerns, resolve conflicts, and drive progress. Challenges don’t discourage me—they inspire me. I see obstacles as opportunities to innovate and stand out. My philosophy is simple: never let comfort or convenience interfere with your goals. I’m always ready to work relentlessly to close a deal or establish a lasting partnership. This mindset has proven invaluable in navigating even the most complex situations.
My leadership style revolves around trust, transparency, and fostering continuous growth. I focus on building self-sufficient teams where everyone owns their role, brings unique strengths to the table, and collaborates seamlessly to execute at a high level. Understanding cultural differences is key, so I take the time to learn the language, history, and customs of my teams, which helps create stronger connections and better synergy. I value open communication and honest feedback in a respectful atmosphere, ensuring that internal politics stay out of the way. Ultimately, I aim to create teams that operate independently and efficiently, driving success no matter how dynamic or challenging the environment.

By leveraging AI platforms as virtual experts, I gain quick access to diverse knowledge, trends, and innovations. This proactive approach ensures I remain informed and adaptable in a rapidly evolving industry landscape.
My advice to younger leaders, especially in the Asian market, is to adopt AI tools to stay ahead and relevant. Embrace lifelong learning by engaging with podcasts, books, and meaningful conversations. Surround yourself with smart, ambitious, and kind individuals, and always help those in need. Build a trusted circle of mentors and advisors for key decisions. Show gratitude and loyalty to your supporters and stay humble; arrogance is a trap. When the time comes, commit to your convictions with confidence and unwavering determination.
I am deeply committed to the Indian economy and the broader challenges within the Asian markets, which present both complexity and immense opportunity. I envision myself working closely with key leaders to address these challenges, fostering growth, and driving impactful changes. My experience has uniquely equipped me for this journey, and I am ready to face it head-on. For me, success is not simply about ambition; it’s about aligning with my core values, maintaining focus, and creating positive, lasting change. It’s about choosing challenges that resonate with purpose and contribute to a better future.
