On September 2, 2026,  Agtrinsic announced the expansion of its AI-driven Disease Intelligence Engine to South Asia, focusing specifically on making advanced crop disease technology accessible to smallholder farmers. These farmers play a vital role in global food security but often lack advanced technical and financial resources.

To bridge this gap, Agtrinsic is collaborating with a local regional team to develop a specialised mobile application tailored to local crops, languages, and farming practices. Unlike traditional forecasting methods that rely on static historical data or visible symptoms, Agtrinsic’s artificial intelligence platform provides a continuously updated view of crop disease risks as environmental conditions change.

The system gives farmers the opportunity to detect danger in advance and plan crop protection decisions to preserve their yield. This technology does not involve adapting a tool designed for large-scale industrial agriculture; instead, it builds on experience from organic development specific to a particular community.

The future app will provide real-time notifications, on-the-field advice and recommendations via an efficient digital platform. To amplify the tool’s effectiveness, Agtrinsic is considering forming associations with regional cooperatives, agricultural stores, spray services, and exporters.

According to the firm’s leadership, including Director of Agronomy Innovation Scott Plato and Vice President of Agronomy Matt Free, this is not just a technology issue; it relates to the sustainability of rural livelihoods and the food supply.

The South Asia launch marks a major milestone in Agtrinsic’s broader mission to scale its patented disease intelligence across diverse geographies. More details regarding field testing and official regional availability will be shared as development progresses.
