Vikas Arora has been appointed as Chief Country Officer and Head of Corporate Bank, Philippines, at Deutsche Bank. Deutsche Bank was founded in 1870 in Berlin by Adalbert Delbrück and Georg von Siemens, is currently owned by public and institutional shareholders, and is headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. Deutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network.
In his new role, Vikas will lead Deutsche Bank’s overall Philippine platform and its Corporate Bank and Investment Bank Businesses in the country. He will report to Kaushik Shaparia, the bank’s CEO for India and Emerging Asia, and Burkhard Ziegenhorn, head of corporate banking for Southeast Asia and Australia.

Vikas joined Deutsche Bank as a management graduate in 1996 and has nearly three decades of experience across client coverage, trade finance, corporate banking and cash management. His previous roles include serving as Chief Country Officer for Sri Lanka and Head of Global Transaction Banking in the Philippines, where he was based between 2015 and 2018. Most recently, Vikas served as Head of Corporate Bank in Malaysia. Vikas holds an MBA Degree in Finance from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
