Investment in drones, electric vertical take-off and landing eVTOL, and other low-altitude aviation products has surged in China. It is seen as a future industrial segment which ties in with transport, logistics and urban planning. Industry sources indicate that the FAA’s formation of a separate safety department demonstrates increased federal government support for commercial drone applications and the future operations of eVTOL aircraft.
