The award highlighted its pivotal role in helping Bajaj Auto Credit Limited (BACL) implement a secure, cloud-native lending platform powered by Vayu Financial Cloud.
BACL, a fully owned subsidiary of Bajaj Auto Ltd, obtained its NBFC license on August 31, 2023, and needed a swift digital solution to manage the entire loan process. Tata Communications delivered a tailored financial cloud platform that went live in just 60 days, enabling BACL to process its first loan within 90 days.
The Vayu Financial Cloud unified cloud, network, and security services to enhance customer experience, facilitating loan viewing, sanctioning, and repayment management. Internally, it optimized workflows, automated key operations, and hosted critical applications to boost efficiency. Security was a top priority; Tata Communications implemented a comprehensive three-tiered security framework, including firewalls, VPN, multi-factor authentication, privileged access management, and DDoS protection. Real-time threat detection was ensured via a security information and event management system.
Designed specifically for financial institutions, the Vayu Financial Cloud was selected over hyperscalers due to its compliance with RBI and SEBI regulations, high uptime (99.999%), and rapid deployment capabilities. It seamlessly integrated with payment gateways, APIs, and Salesforce applications.
The platform delivered measurable results: a 300% faster time-to-market, 30% monthly growth in platform usage, 12-15% cost savings, and a tripling of infrastructure capacity within eight months. BACL maintained nearly 100% uptime during peak periods, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery.
