The UAE-India Business Council (UIBC) has entered into several strategic agreements aimed at strengthening industry cooperation and increasing trade and investment between India and the UAE.
Through three distinct treaties, UIBC and the UAE-India CEPA Council (UICC) committed to enhancing institutional collaboration. This will ensure closer alignment with the goals of the UAE-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and help deepen bilateral economic relations, according to PTI.
UIBC also signed an agreement with the Service Export Promotion Council (SEPC) to increase cooperation in key service sectors such as logistics, healthcare, IT/ITES, education, tourism, and engineering. The goal is to promote both B2C and B2G interactions while addressing market access issues.
Furthermore, UIBC partnered with regional chambers of commerce, including the Bombay Industries Association, Calicut Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry, to harness regional strengths, facilitate CEPA at the grassroots level, increase industry involvement, and strengthen trade and investment links at the state level.
