Aaron Fryer’s rise to Regional Chief Financial Officer for Allianz Asia Pacific reflects his steadfast dedication to financial leadership and profound expertise in the insurance industry.

Since Aaron started his career, he has consistently followed a path marked by strong dedication and outstanding abilities. He began by studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, which was the first step toward diving deeply into the complex world of finance. It was the field where he found his true passion, leading him on a path that eventually led to him being recognised as a respected Fellow of the Actuaries Institute of Australia (FIAA).

Over more than twenty years, Aaron gained in-depth knowledge and skills in financial services. He worked in various important roles, especially in Southeast Asia. His expertise grew because he had lots of different responsibilities. He didn’t just learn about managing money well; he also got a really good understanding of all the different parts that make up the financial industry.

Aaron’s career reached a pivotal moment in 2018 when he joined entry Allianz as the Deputy Regional CFO. His strategic acumen, combined with a keen understanding of financial complexities, swiftly emerged as he adeptly handled the diverse challenges caused due to the dynamic nature of the Asian market. His tenure in the role of Deputy Regional CFO acted as a milestone to the peak of his professional journey – climbing to the position of Regional Chief Financial Officer.

In his current role, Aaron leads the direction of Allianz’s growth strategy in Asia. His duties go beyond traditional financial management, including masterminding long-term performance enhancement and the creation of lasting value. His core responsibilities include detailed oversight of the finance division, involving tasks such as business reporting, managing actuarial affairs, devising financial strategies, overseeing risk management, and ensuring tax compliance.

Aaron shows great determination and forward-thinking skills as seen in his role on the company’s Regional Executive Board. He is a significant part of the team that guides Allianz’s growth in Asia. He doesn’t just influence this growth, but also helps decide the important goals and makes sure they are accomplished smoothly.
