Chinese medical equipment maker Anhui Fuqing Medical Equipment has raised US$41.3 million in a Series A extension round, according to an announcement made in September 2026.
Fuqing Medical makes high-end medical imaging and treatment equipment. The company handles everything from developing and manufacturing its devices to selling them and providing post-installation services.
The new funding follows a US$27.5 million Series A round that was led by a fund backed by the Hefei state investment authority. A research team from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) also became a shareholder by contributing its research work to the company.
The latest investment comes as China continues to support the development of its domestic medical equipment industry. Local companies are working to create advanced medical devices that can compete with equipment made by international manufacturers.
For Fuqing Medical, the fresh capital will support its continued work in medical imaging and treatment technology. It could also help the company increase production and expand its business as demand for advanced medical equipment grows.
The funding is another sign of the growing interest in China’s high-end medical device sector, particularly as the country looks to strengthen its own medical technology capabilities and rely less on imported equipment.
