Entrepreneurship is often described as the pursuit of opportunity, but Prophet (Braxton Vaughn) Stacks has built his journey around something deeper: turning struggle, experience, and discipline into something that creates value for others. As Founder and CEO of Profit More LLC, Stacks brings together an unusual breadth of experience spanning entrepreneurship, hospitality, culinary leadership, publishing, sales and personal development. His journey includes creating 17 Stacks: The Hustle and Struggle of a Husband and Father, independent film and music, and growing The Experience Catering & Food Prep Services alongside his evolving Profit More wealth ecosystem. His philosophy has remained consistent through these different chapters: success is not simply about what one achieves, but what one can build, share and leave behind. In a conversation with TradeFlock Magazine, Prophet Stacks reflects on adversity, fatherhood, discipline, purpose and the experiences that shaped his approach to building a life and businesses with lasting value.
What turning point redefined success for you, and what changed as a result?
The defining shift in my understanding of success came when I realised achievement could not be measured only by income, recognition or how hard I worked. Success had to mean creating stability, opportunity, legacy and something meaningful for the people connected to my life.
From that point forward, I became intentional about turning experience into systems, knowledge into intellectual property and adversity into wisdom. That mindset has guided Profit More LLC, my creative and hospitality work, and my partnership with Studio through Achieve Success With Stoic Discipline Daily.
Today, I view success as disciplined stewardship of time, talent, relationships, knowledge and opportunity. I want every venture I develop to reflect purpose, professionalism, and service, while leaving people, organisations, and communities stronger than I found them. More importantly, I want what I build to continue producing value beyond the present moment.
When an opportunity comes your way, what makes you say yes or walk away?
I evaluate opportunities through alignment, integrity, scalability and purpose. I ask whether an opportunity complements what I am building, whether the people involved share strong professional values and whether saying yes advances the larger vision rather than simply keeping me busy.
My partnership with Studio is a powerful example. Digital personal development may appear separate from hospitality, culinary leadership, publishing and entrepreneurship, but I recognised a common foundation in discipline, accountability, emotional control, service and leadership.
That insight helped lead to Achieve Success With Stoic Discipline Daily, a personalised experience focused on mindset, confidence, habits and measurable progress. It reinforced an important lesson. The right opportunity may not resemble your past. Sometimes it reveals what your past has prepared you to do next.
What keeps discipline intact when motivation and energy begin to disappear?
I have learned not to rely on motivation alone. I return to discipline. Motivation changes with circumstances, while discipline provides a foundation when energy, emotions or external results fluctuate.
Stoic principles have strengthened my ability to distinguish between what I can control and what I cannot, then invest my energy in preparation, habits, response and execution. I also reconnect with purpose, reassess priorities and recognise that strategic recovery is part of sustainable excellence.
My rejuvenation mantra is “Control what you can. Learn from what you cannot. Move with purpose. Execute with discipline. Become better every day.” That philosophy is central to my Studio platform and continues to shape how I approach entrepreneurship, leadership and personal growth.
Which difficult period of fatherhood shaped the struggle behind 17 Stacks?
17 Stacks was shaped by the reality that responsibility doesn’t disappear when circumstances get difficult. Family responsibilities, financial pressure, ambition, disappointment, sacrifice and the pursuit of a better future can all exist simultaneously.
Those experiences taught me that resilience is not simply enduring hardship. It is remaining purposeful while hardship is present. Pressure can consume you or refine you, and I chose to let it strengthen my discipline, resourcefulness, faith, work ethic and sense of responsibility.
The story represents transformation for me. Difficult chapters can be converted into knowledge that may help someone else. That philosophy continues to influence how I lead, create, serve, mentor and build today.
When does hard work stop creating progress and start becoming a trap?
Hard work is essential, but hard work alone is not a business model. Survival mode often requires exchanging more hours for immediate results, while long-term value comes from building systems, brands, intellectual property, relationships, processes and products that can create impact beyond the founder’s daily labour.
Entrepreneurs can mistake constant activity for strategic progress. Eventually, the question must change from “How much more can I personally do?” to “What can I build, document, teach, delegate, automate or scale?”
Through Profit More LLC and profitmore.biz, I am developing creative, educational, entrepreneurial and digital value. The Experience Catering & Food Prep Services remains a distinct culinary and hospitality brand, while my Studio partnership expands my ability to serve people digitally beyond geographic boundaries.
If entrepreneurship had not been your path, what profession would have suited you?
I would have pursued a profession centred on leadership, hospitality, coaching, education or organisational development because each involves helping people and systems perform at a higher level.
Hospitality taught me to anticipate needs, communicate clearly, coordinate teams, solve problems and maintain standards under pressure. Entrepreneurship taught me to create solutions when no blueprint exists. Writing taught me to translate experience into ideas, while coaching allows me to turn those lessons into practical guidance.
Entrepreneurship ultimately gives me the opportunity to bring all those strengths together as a builder, leader, creator, educator, strategist and servant. Creating value while helping others advance is what continues to make the journey meaningful.
